The Impact You'll MakeThe Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions. This role ensures that vendor invoices are properly documented, verified, and paid in accordance with company policies. The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in maintaining strong vendor relationships and upholding financial integrity within the organization. What Youll Be Responsible ForReceive and review vendor invoices for accuracy and completenessCode invoices to appropriate accounts and cost centersFacilitate the approval process by routing invoices to the relevant departments for authorizationCommunicate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies or obtain necessary approvalsProcess payments to vendors in a timely and accurate manner, which may include check, ACH, or wire transfersMaintain payment records and ensure compliance with payment termsBuild and maintain positive relationships with vendors, responding to inquiries and resolving payment-related issuesAddress vendor inquiries and discrepancies promptly and professionallyReconcile employee expense reports and ensure proper documentation and approvalsProcess employee reimbursements in accordance with company policiesMaintain accurate and organized accounts payable recordsGenerate reports for management and audits as neededEnsure adherence to company policies, as well as state and federal regulations, in all accounts payable processesParticipate in financial audits and assist with compliance activitiesIdentify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and increased efficiency within the accounts payable functionWork closely with the finance team and other departments to facilitate smooth and accurate financial operations What You Bring Bachelor's or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)Previous experience in accounts payable or a related finance role is a plusWhat Makes You Successful Here Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracy in data entryExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of accounting principles and understanding of financial regulations Working at 80 Acres Farms Health, dental, and vision insurance starting day one of employment -- health insurance plans start at just $6/monthMinimum two weeks paid vacation (+additional weeks based on years of experience)One week paid health & wellness time10 paid holidaysParental leave401k with up to 4% Company matchCompany-paid life insuranceShort and long-term disability insuranceHybrid working environment - flex between in-office connecting and remote work as appropriate Our Hiring Commitment80 Acres Farms is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
