Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time Accounts Receivable Clerk/Medical Administrative Representative to support our billing and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical office experience, excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with medical coding and billing procedures. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient revenue cycle management while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities Manage accounts receivable processes, including billing, collections, and follow-up on outstanding claims. Verify insurance information and ensure accurate coding using DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, and ICD-10 coding systems. Prepare and submit medical claims accurately through EHR system Athena. Review medical records for completeness and accuracy to support billing and coding activities. Communicate effectively with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or discrepancies. Maintain organized documentation of medical records, billing statements, and collection efforts. Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations and billing practices to ensure compliance. Experience Prior experience in a medical office setting with a focus on billing, collections, or administrative support is required. Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and the revenue cycle process is essential. Familiarity with medical coding including CPT coding, ICD-9, ICD-10, and ICD coding standards is highly preferred. Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for billing and record management is necessary. Strong understanding of medical billing procedures and medical collection strategies. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$19.00 - $23.00 per hour
