Summary:
This position records financial transactions, compiles and records operational data, performs various accounting and banking duties, and provides financial task support to others in the company. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Record financial transactions in an accounting system Reconcile general ledger account balances Reconcile bank accounts Manage accounts payable, ensuring accurate coding of expenses and timely payment to vendors Prepare invoices to customers Manage accounts receivable, ensuring that payments from customers are properly applied to account balances Compile and record operational data Prepare documentation for lenders' semi-annual collateral inspections Assist with compiling information for tax return preparation Participate in meetings where it will be necessary to explain financial concepts or issues, provide progress reports and receive instructions Assist with annual budget preparation Processing payroll Maintain the orderly filing of documents in an electronic file storage system Ad hoc projects
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education/Experience :
A minimum of three to five years of accounting experience is required. Feedyard or agribusiness experience is highly valued.
Computer Literacy :
Microsoft Office:
Excel and Word, QuickBooks Online, Google office suite
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must, occasionally, lift and/or move less than 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision reading computer screens and spreadsheet reports and the ability to adjust focus.
