Job Description Bristol Ballet is seeking a part time bookkeeper to join our team! This position would be hourly, roughly 10-15 hours per week according to need. Hours are flexible. $15-20 per hour commensurate with experience.
Major job duties would include:
tracking and processing invoices and payments for approximately 120 students, using Quickbooks Online software (including monthly tuition invoices and other items as needed such as costume fees, registration fees, production fees, donations, sponsorships, etc.)
processing payments via check, cash, Quickbooks Online payments, PayPal, credit/debit cards through Square, and Venmo
tracking and reporting payroll hours for contract employees
tracking and paying bills, monthly sales tax, and other expenditures
preparing materials for a yearly audit
reconciling bank accounts with the Bristol Ballet's Treasurer monthly
organizing and filing receipts, invoices, and physical copies of financial documents
Preparing and filing basic financial documents, such as income statements, profit and loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and totals by account at request of the Ballet directors
other duties as assigned Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software: QuickBooks Online Understanding of financial concepts related to non-profits.
Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliation, account analysis, and general ledger accounting efficiently. Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax experience is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail with proficiency in data entry accuracy. Ability to interpret financial reports, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliation accurately. Strong organizational skills.
