Job Description Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Bookkeeper who thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment. This individual will manage multiple client accounts while delivering accurate financial reporting and building strong, trusted relationships. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and motivated by work that directly supports the success of small to mid-sized businesses. This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be local to the greater Portland-Vancouver metropolitan area. Bookkeeper Responsibilities Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for a portfolio of client accounts, including tracking income, expenses, and daily financial activity. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate data entry, reconciliation, and reporting. Perform weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies. Maintain general ledger accuracy, including preparing and posting monthly and year-end journal entries. Deliver clear, timely financial updates while partnering with clients, internal stakeholders, and external CPAs during year-end processes. Bookkeeper Qualifications 5+ years of professional accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a client-facing or high-volume environment. Foundational to intermediate knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced capabilities in Excel, and experience working with accounting or financial systems. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive client relationships.
