GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION
Von & Co is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper (~10 hours/week) to support our Director of Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who is looking for flexible, part-time work with a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate will be local to the Southwest Florida area and, while primarily remote, will be available to come into the office on an occasional basis.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES
Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner to maintain the general ledger. Support the Director of Finance with accounts payable functions, including reviewing invoices, processing payments, and maintaining vendor records. Assist with accounts receivable activities, including tracking incoming payments, reconciling customer accounts, and following up on outstanding balances. Pull, compile, and distribute daily and weekly sales reports, performing necessary Excel-based data manipulation and formatting to ensure reports are accurate and presentation-ready. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis to ensure all transactions are properly recorded. Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting schedules. Maintain organized and accurate financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies. Support payroll processing coordination in partnership with the Director of Finance and the company's HRIS platform, ADP. Flag discrepancies, unusual transactions, or potential issues to the Director of Finance proactively. Assist with ad hoc financial tasks and special projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or currently pursuing a bachelor's degree, accounting, finance or business preferred.
- Understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, journal entries, reconciliations).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; with experience in pivot tables strongly preferred
- Experience with accounting software (i.e. Sage) preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup.
- Must have strong organizational skills, be detail-oriented, proactive, nimble and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Local to the Southwest Florida area with willingness to come into the studio occasionally if needed.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
