Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Accounting Solutions of Idaho (ASI) is seeking a Client Accounting Specialist (CAS) responsible for delivering exceptional service while supporting clients through their full-cycle accounting needs. This role works across bookkeeping, payroll, and tax, contributing to a collaborative team environment. We are a full-service firm supporting small businesses and individuals, and we pride ourselves on building strong, long-term client relationships. The ideal candidate is not only technically skilled, but also client focused, proactive, and team oriented. With a willingness to step in and support others as needed. Other responsibilities aligned with this role but are not limited to: Prepare and review individual and business tax returns (including 1040s with Schedule C/E, S Corps, and Partnerships) Review bookkeeping and ensure accuracy of financial records Generate and interpret financial reports for clients Communicate with clients in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a high level of service and responsiveness Collaborate with team members across bookkeeping, payroll, and tax to support client needs Maintain clear, organized, and transparent work so team members can easily step in and support when needed Research and apply tax regulations to complex client situations Identify opportunities to better support clients through improved processes, insights, or efficiencies Complete all work with accuracy, analytical focus, and a strong sense of ownership Uphold high standards of reliability, organization, and accountability
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
The successful candidate will be someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, not afraid to ask questions and gets involved. The right candidate is comfortable working independently while staying connected with the team, and values accuracy, accountability, and strong client service.
Qualifications include:
Must have high school diploma or GED; higher education in related field is highly desired. Must have 2+ years of experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, or payroll. Must have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Demonstrated ability to learn and work across multiple software platforms; experience with tools such as QuickBooks, ProSeries, Karbon, Truss, and Microsoft Outlook/SharePoint is preferred. Must have demonstrated clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to clients in an understandable way. Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently while also staying engaged with a remote team. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills, with proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Must have a high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
