Job DescriptionJob Description LHH Recruitment Solutions had partnered with a growing organization is seeking a Junior Accounting Clerk with strong Accounts Receivable exposure to support a high-volume B2B environment. This role will focus heavily on collections, cash applications, and lockbox processing , working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely posting of customer payments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their accounting career looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced AR function. Junior Accounting Clerk - Accounts Receivable (Contract)
Location:
Mount Laurel, NJ Work Schedule:
Hybrid Initial training: 100% onsite for first 30 days
Post-training:
Hybrid with 2 days onsite / 3 days remote
Contract Length:
3-month contract with possible extension
Pay Rate:
$18-$20 per hour Key Responsibilities Perform high-volume B2B collections , following up on outstanding invoices Apply customer payments accurately through cash application and lockbox processing Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies Research short pays, unapplied cash, and deduction issues Maintain accurate AR aging and documentation Collaborate with internal teams to support timely cash flow Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, accounting support, or a related role Prior experience with collections and cash application strongly preferred Comfortable working in a high-volume transaction environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Basic to intermediate Excel skills Ability to work onsite during the initial training period Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to https://www.lhh.com/us/en/candidate-privacy The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
