In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and supporting various accounting functions. Responsibilities Process and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Workday Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in general ledger entries in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Manage accounts payable transactions, including data entry of debits and credits, ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account analysis Support payroll management tasks using systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos, or UltiPro, including benefits administration and tax processing Conduct thorough account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly Maintain detailed records of all financial transactions, supporting audit readiness and SOX compliance Collaborate with human resources on HRIS systems such as Ceridian or PeopleSoft for employee data management related to payroll and benefits Assist with governmental and non-profit accounting requirements as needed, ensuring adherence to applicable regulations Contribute to process improvements by analyzing workflows and recommending efficiencies in accounts payable and accounting procedures Experience Proven experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting roles within a corporate or public accounting environment Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Workday, PeopleSoft or similar platforms Familiarity with payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, Kronos or UltiPro is highly desirable Knowledge of SOX compliance standards and internal controls is a plus Demonstrated analysis skills for identifying discrepancies and resolving complex account issues Ability to perform high-volume data entry with accuracy using 10-key typing skills Basic understanding of governmental or non-profit accounting practices is advantageous Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail in maintaining financial records Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to excellence in financial management!
