Accounting Specialist

About the job Accounting Specialist We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for handling accounts payable functions and performing basic accounting tasks, including journal entries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong basic accounting skillset, the ability to take detailed notes, and use those notes as a resource.

Hours:

8AM-4:30pm or 7:30AM-4PM Responsibilities include: Processing accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently. Performing basic accounting tasks, including journal entries. Ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices. Reconciling vendor statements. Maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Communicating effectively with vendors and internal departments. Assisting with month-end closing procedures. Adhering to company policies and procedures.

Skills/Qualifications:

Strong basic accounting skillset. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to take notes and use those notes as a resource. Proficiency in Excel and spreadsheets. Experience with QuickBooks.
