Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles, with experience in managing accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and financial report writing. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records by recording daily transactions in the accounting system. Manage accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data. Prepare and analyze financial reports to provide insights into the company's financial status. Utilize Sage software for various accounting tasks, including tracking expenses and generating reports. Assist with corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information as needed. Stay updated on governmental accounting standards and practices to ensure compliance. Experience Proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. Strong understanding of financial concepts and principles related to bookkeeping. Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation processes. Familiarity with accounts payable procedures and corporate accounting practices. Knowledge of QuickBooks software is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
