Opportunity Summary :
The Accounting Specialist position has responsibility for the application of principles of accounting and the maintenance of the general accounting system. The position is primarily responsible for the following areas: Responsible for all segments of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions, as well as being responsible for maintaining correct procedures for internal controls. This position oversees daily transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations), participates in tax audits and payroll, as well as prepares budget reports. How you will make contributions that matter : Manage, edit, and review weekly payroll reports. Daily and weekly account reconciliation. Review and submit invoices. Invoice coding. Review purchase orders and create debit memos. Organize and change store set ups and ownership changes. Track fuel purchasing, tractor MPG, and Reefer fuel usage. Review Credit Card expenditures. Electronically file weekly reports. Prepare monthly external reports. Good Customer Service skills and following up with owners. Maintain accounting procedures and standards for internal controls, Manage all office supplies orders. Other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Education
- associate degree or bachelor's degree is preferred. Experience
- experience with accounts payable/receivable, experience with accounting software. Other Required Skills or Abilities
- Creativity, multi-tasking, able to adapt to fast-paced and changing environment.
