Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting & Job Costing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing accounts payable functions, overseeing company credit card processes, supporting month-end close activities, maintaining accurate job costing within our ERP system (Microsoft NAV), and assisting with inventory-related accounting processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while communicating professionally with vendors and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management Perform full-cycle accounts payable functions including invoice entry, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations Maintain vendor records and complete vendor onboarding/setup Resolve vendor discrepancies and payment disputes in a timely manner Ensure all payments are processed according to company deadlines and policies Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding issues Initiate and process online vendor payments Monitor and reconcile company corporate credit cards including American Express and Ramp Monitor open purchase orders and communicate with internal departments to complete PO processes Inventory Management & Job Costing Utilize Microsoft Dynamics NAV for daily accounting and operational tasks Create and maintain inventory item cards Assist with inventory management and data accuracy Enter and review job ledger entries and related costing information Monitor project/job costs and maintain accurate cost tracking Review and post job journal entries Month-End & General Accounting Support Assist with month-end closing procedures Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Review income statement activity and assist with reclassifications as needed Support ongoing accounting and operational process improvements Qualifications 3+ years of accounting experience in manufacturing, construction, or inventory-based environments preferred Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience considered a strong asset Strong understanding of job costing and inventory-related accounting processes Experience reconciling corporate credit cards, preferably American Express Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong communication and problem-solving abilities Preferred Attributes Self-motivated and able to work independently Professional and confident communicating with vendors and internal teams Process-improvement mindset with the ability to streamline workflows Experience in construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments considered an asset Skills & Competencies Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling company records Strong computer proficiency with digital financial systems Advanced Excel and data management skills Strong numerical, analytical, and critical-thinking skills About DY Concrete Pumps DY Concrete Pumps is a family-owned and operated concrete pump manufacturer headquartered in Alvarado, Texas.
