- Process employee payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain and update employee timekeeping records, reviewing timesheets for completeness and accuracy
- Resolve discrepancies in payroll and timekeeping data, collaborating with employees and managers as needed
- Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and documentation for management and auditing purposes
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures related to payroll and timekeeping
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, deductions, and timekeeping policies
- Monitor attendance, overtime, and leave balances, ensuring proper documentation and approval
- Support year-end and quarterly activities, such as W-2 processing and tax filings
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information
- Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless workflow and data accuracy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in payroll processing or timekeeping functions strongly preferred
- Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with wage, hour, and payroll regulations a plus
