Responsibilities:
  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain and update employee timekeeping records, reviewing timesheets for completeness and accuracy
  • Resolve discrepancies in payroll and timekeeping data, collaborating with employees and managers as needed
  • Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and documentation for management and auditing purposes
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding procedures related to payroll and timekeeping
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, deductions, and timekeeping policies
  • Monitor attendance, overtime, and leave balances, ensuring proper documentation and approval
  • Support year-end and quarterly activities, such as W-2 processing and tax filings
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information
  • Collaborate with HR and accounting departments to ensure seamless workflow and data accuracy
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree in accounting, business, or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in payroll processing or timekeeping functions strongly preferred
  • Proficiency with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with wage, hour, and payroll regulations a plus
