Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will help us streamline our financial processes, support budgeting efforts, and provide clear financial reporting to guide strategic decisions. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting. Perform bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of all financial data using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently while maintaining detailed records. Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Conduct monthly account analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping to ensure data integrity. Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing relevant documentation for management review. Skills Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken or similar platforms. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Experience with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices is a plus. Knowledge of GAAP guidelines and technical accounting principles to ensure compliance. Ability to perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation accurately. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; familiarity with 10 key typing for data entry efficiency. Effective communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating with team members on account analysis and budgeting tasks.
