Job Description

Entry-Level Bookkeeper 2508 Highlander Way, Suite 240 Carrollton, TX 75006 Paranet provides enterprise level IT management and Cybersecurity for clients nationwide. We pride ourselves on our excellent customer service and deep technical skills. We work together in our Carrollton office to promote rapid personal and professional growth. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with data entry, and supporting the accounting department. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to learn and develop your bookkeeping skills in a supportive environment. We are willing to train motivated applicants, but prospective applicants must have a record of sustained employment at other positions, former supervisors willing to serve as references, and skills with Excel and general computer skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated financial records. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial documentation. Support accounts payable and receivable processes. Run daily cash applications, and monthly credit card reconciliations. Conduct basic account analysis and report any discrepancies to management. Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus. Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles. Typing proficiency is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation:
The initial compensation is $20/hour, but there is much opportunity to move up for eager and capable candidates, and there is a standard benefits package.
