Accounting Clerk

Roto-Rooter South Texas is seeking a highly detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a background in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Services. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills and an eye for identifying discrepancies, unusual spending trends, and financial inconsistencies. Responsibilities Audit and review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions for accuracy Analyze financial reports, spending trends, invoices, and account activity Identify discrepancies, duplicate charges, incorrect postings, or unusual expenses Assist management in reviewing operational spending and financial performance Support internal auditing processes and financial accountability initiatives Train to assist with payroll auditing and payroll verification processes Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation Work closely with management to improve financial controls and reporting accuracy Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Services, or related field preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting Advanced attention to detail with strong analytical and investigative skills Experience with AP/AR review, reconciliations, or financial analysis preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities For more than 90 years, Roto-Rooter has been a trusted leader in plumbing, drain cleaning, and water cleanup services across the United States.
