Role Overview We are a distributor of hardgoods products looking for a detail-oriented Experienced Bookkeeper to manage the financial operations of our Local Texas Distribution Center and the Main production facility. As we expand our footprint across, you will serve as the financial bridge between our headquarters and our local operations. In addition to maintaining the books, you will supervise and mentor an AR/AP Accounting Clerk, ensuring the accuracy of daily transactional data and the professional development of your direct report. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Management
  • Supervise an
AR/AP Accounting Clerk:
Oversee daily tasks, including data entry, filing, and basic reconciliations.
    Quality Control:
    Review the Assistant's work for accuracy and compliance with internal controls.
      Training:
      Act as a mentor, providing guidance on complex bookkeeping entries and company-specific workflows. Financial Reporting & Compliance
      • Maintain accurate books and records in strict accordance with company standards.
      • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing procedures.
      • Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, and Cash Flow) for review by the CFO. Accounts & Operations
      Accounts Receivable:
      Monitor payments from customers, manage collections, and reconcile discrepancies.
        Accounts Payable:
        Process vendor invoices and coordinate intercompany payments to Italy.
          Inventory Accounting:
          Reconcile physical inventory at the Texas warehouse with accounting records.
          • Act as the primary point of contact for external U.S. auditors and tax preparers. Qualifications & Skills
          Experience:
          6+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
            Education:
            Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
              Software:
              AS400/JDE
                Attributes:
                Strong communication skills.
