Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payment Poster, Appeals, and Accounts Receivable (AR) Management Specialist to join our Medical Billing Company. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical billing processes, medical coding, and accounts receivable management. This role involves accurately posting payments, managing claim appeals, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances. The successful applicant will play a vital role in maintaining financial accuracy, optimizing revenue cycle operations, and supporting compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Accurately post payments received from insurance companies, patients, and other payers into electronic health record (EHR) or electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Review and analyze explanation of benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies or denials requiring follow-up or appeals. Manage the appeals process for denied claims by preparing documentation, submitting appeals, and tracking outcomes to ensure resolution. Monitor accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue accounts and implement collection strategies. Experience At least 2 years experience in medical billing, accounts receivable management, or related healthcare administrative roles. Strong knowledge of CPT coding, ICD-10 coding systems, and medical terminology. Experience handling medical collections processes and working with insurance companies on claim denials and appeals. Excellent organizational skills combined with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in posting payments and managing accounts receivable.
Pay:
$12.00 - $18.00 per hour
