Job Description

Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is detail-oriented and reliable, able to manage day-to-day financial transactions for RAWR Distribution. They have hands-on experience with QuickBooks and are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the company's financial operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Not directly. May coordinate work with other employees.
  • May assist in training newly hired clerks and secretaries.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain all financial transactions using QuickBooks
  • Manage and reconcile bank and credit card accounts within QuickBooks
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, billing and collections
  • Maintain and update the general ledger in QuickBooks
  • Generate financial reports such as profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Process payroll or coordinate payroll through QuickBooks or a third-party provider
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data in QuickBooks
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Prepare records and reports for tax filing and work with external accountants as needed
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation
  • Retrieve information as requested from records, email, minutes, and other related documents; prepare written summaries of information when needed. Maintains filing systems as assigned
  • Respond to and resolve administrative inquiries and questions
  • Coordinate and schedule travel, meetings, and appointments for managers, supervisors, team members
  • Prepare agendas and schedules for meetings
  • Record and distribute minutes or other records for meeting
  • Maintain office supplies and coordinate maintenance of office equipment.
  • Maintain a system for recording expenses and the use of petty cash / credit card.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, with strong proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing
  • Ability to work independently.
Can-do attitude.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
  • Five years of experience in an administrative / bookkeeping role.
  • Bookkeeping experience required. QuickBooks knowledge is a must.
Language:
English (required), Spanish (preferred).
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Pay:
From $46,000.00 per year
