Bookkeeper•HVAC Service Company We're looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial and administrative operations of our HVAC service business. This role keeps our office running smoothly by managing billing, payments, payroll, and day-to-day accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Process invoices, payments, and customer billing for service calls and installs Manage accounts payable/receivable and reconcile bank/credit card accounts Prepare payroll and track technician hours, commissions, and spiffs . Maintain accurate financial records and assist with monthly reporting Support tax filings, vendor management, and l1l job costing Provide general office and administrative support as needed
Skills & Qualifications Required:
Bookkeeping or accounting experience (HVAC or trades preferred) Proficiency with QuickBooks and/or field-service software (ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, etc.) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced service, technician-driven environment Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes.
Reporting & Compliance:
Prepare monthly financial statements for management review. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and seasonal planning. Ensure compliance with state sales tax, payroll tax, and licensing rquirements. Support CPA with year-end reporting and audits.
