This role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with proactive sales support, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping while fostering positive customer relationships. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong technical accounting skills and a passion for delivering excellent service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organization's financial health and growth through meticulous bookkeeping. Engaging in sales interactions with possible sales commission in addition to salary. Responsibilities Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and Quicken to ensure precise financial records. Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial data. Conduct bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and account reconciliation activities in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections while maintaining detailed records. Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements to support management decision-making. Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and governmental accounting requirements as needed. Support sales efforts by engaging with customers, processing transactions accurately, and promoting products or services effectively. Qualifications Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms; familiarity with GAAP is essential. Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting. Experience with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus; knowledge of financial concepts like budgeting and account analysis is highly desirable. Skilled in bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation techniques. Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in financial report writing and account analysis. Knowledge of payroll processing and tax experience is advantageous; familiarity with public accounting practices is beneficial.
