Fort Worth, TX Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist with strong construction accounting experience to support our growing team in Fort Worth. This role focuses on accurate and timely processing of payables while contributing to financial accuracy in a dynamic general contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices, reconcile statements, and ensure timely payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and construction-specific requirements. Utilize Sage (or similar ERP) and Procore for AP workflows, reporting, and data entry with a focus on efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with project managers and accounting team on vendor relations, dispute resolution, and month-end close activities. AR Experience - Lien Waivers a plus Joe.

  • Prior experience in accounts payable, preferably within the construction, contractor, or project-based industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of invoice coding, invoice entry, and payment processing procedures.
  • Experience handling check runs and maintaining accuracy in high-volume transactional environments.
  • Familiarity with Sage, Procore, or similar accounting and project management software.
  • Ability to reconcile statements, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for working with vendors, project teams, and accounting personnel.
