Job Description
Summary Major Drilling America is seeking a detail oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Corporate Accounts Payable team in Salt Lake City, UT. This position is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate accounts payable records, and ensuring timely payments for assigned facilities. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with vendors, site managers, and internal teams in a fast paced environment. Responsibilities Accounts Payable Processing Process vendor invoices and expense vouchers accurately and in a timely manner Ensure proper coding, approvals, and documentation for all invoices Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation Review accounts payable registers and reports to ensure accuracy Vendor & Internal Communication Communicate with vendors and site managers by phone, email, and in person Research invoice discrepancies and payment issues and provide consistent follow up Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and internal facilities Records & Administrative Support Update and maintain vendor records and paper/electronic files Prepare and mail vendor and tenant refund checks as needed Close out annual accounts payable files Assist with special projects and department initiatives as assigned Qualifications Education & Experience College coursework preferred 1-3 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred Skills & Knowledge Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and internet based systems Ability to perform math calculations related to invoices, taxes, discounts, and fees Strong attention to detail and accuracy Highly motivated self starter with good organizational skills Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a changing work environment Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Major Drilling America, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
