AP & AR Specialist

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable YakAttack is a leading manufacturer of innovative kayak fishing gear based in Farmville, VA. What You'll Do:

Enter bills into QuickBooks and ensure all supporting documents are complete. Match invoices to packing slips and pull invoices for shipping carriers. Code expenses, track due dates, and prepare payable items for mailing. Reconcile vendor statements and shipping carrier accounts. Maintain organized AP files, binders, and digital records. Invoice warranties and verify accuracy of customer billing. Apply customer payments and book deposits in QuickBooks. Review customer orders for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with internal teams. Maintain accurate AR documentation and support customer communication as needed. Assist with year-end audit preparation by pulling requested documents. Support general accounting tasks and follow established procedures.

Qualifications:

Experience in shipping, warehouse operations, or fulfillment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Positive, professional attitude. Reliable work habits and ability to follow procedures. Experience leading or training others preferred. Ability to lift 25-45 lbs. without assistance. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift. Basic computer skills for order lookup, tracking, and inventory adjustments. Familiarity with shipping software and ecommerce platforms is a plus.

Schedule & Work Environment:

Full-time, weekday manufacturing schedule. Additional hours may be scheduled during peak demand, including some Saturdays. Warehouse environment with frequent standing, lifting, bending and walking. Hands-on role with a mix of packaging, workflow coordination, and problem-solving. Located at YakAttack headquarters in
