Accounts Payable Specialist

Tri-Area Community Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center headquartered in Laurel Fork, Virginia, is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist. This position provides essential financial support to the Finance Department, managing the full accounts payable cycle from invoice receipt through payment while ensuring accurate record-keeping in compliance with federal, state, and grant requirements. You will work under the Business Manager to support the financial integrity of our health center. An Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience is required with a minimum of 3 years of accounts payable or bookkeeping experience (internships considered). Must be proficient in Excel and have a working knowledge of GAAP. Must have strong attention to detail, discretion with confidential data, and clear communication. Experience working in an FQHC or non-profit setting is preferred. Preference will also be given to applicants with HRSA standards and fund accounting familiarity and proficiency in QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or MIP Fund Accounting. This full-time position is Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a potential for alternate schedule arrangements. The position will be in the corporate office in Laurel Fork with a potential for a hybrid arrangement following appropriate training. We offer an excellent benefits package and competitive pay based on experience and education. Pay starts at $18/hour with offer rate based on experience and education.
