Job Description

Our work environment includes: Safe work environment Flexible working hours BK Martin Construction, Inc. is looking for a Bookkeeper to maintain our financial records and handle all aspects of bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the work, excellent math skills, attention to detail and the ability to think critically. This is an entry level position with a strong interest in accounting. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for the following: Processing accounts payable and receivable Processing invoices and collecting payments Reconciliation of general ledger accounts Monthly bank reconciliations Daily account reconciliations and reconciliation Assist with payroll processing Job costing Assist with bank account reconciliations and reconciliation Research, analyze, and resolve any accounting issues that arise from month to month.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in a timely manner. Maintain financial records by recording all transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, deposits, withdrawals, revenue, expenses etc. Prepare financial statements based on financial information received from various internal and external sources. Prepare monthly reports for management as requested. Communicate effectively with other employees regarding bookkeeping issues and problems. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates Degree preferred or related degree; CPA or BA a plus. Knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel is required.
