Job Description:
Addison Group is seeking a Part-Time Accounting Specialist for a temporary opportunity with one of our clients. This position will provide support to the accounting team with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash application, and month-end activities. The ideal candidate will have prior AP/AR experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions and ensure timely and accurate vendor payments Research and resolve vendor inquiries and payment discrepancies Maintain vendor records and supporting documentation Assist with preparation and distribution of annual tax reporting documents Process cash receipts and tenant/customer payments Post payments accurately within the accounting system Reconcile cash receipt activity to bank records and supporting documentation Maintain organized accounting files and records Assist with month-end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting requirements Collaborate with accounting and operational teams to resolve issues and support ongoing projects Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications:
1+ year of accounts payable and/or accounts receivable experience Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment Related college coursework or degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within the real estate or property management industry Experience with MRI, NEXUS, or similar accounting software Experience processing high-volume transactions Strong customer service and vendor relationship management skills EEO Statement Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
