Accounts Payable Specialist | Luxury Resort | Salamander Middleburg Resort & Spa |Full-Time Salamander Middleburg Resort & Spa, a Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five-Diamond luxury destination, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about accuracy, organization, and supporting operational excellence. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment execution. This position ensures all financial transactions are accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities Process and enter high-volume invoices with accuracy and efficiency Review invoices for proper coding, approvals, and compliance Maintain and update vendor files and accounting system records Coordinate and track invoice approvals and payment timelines Prepare and batch payments in accordance with company procedures Respond to vendor and internal inquiries, resolving discrepancies promptly Audit invoices for accuracy and tax compliance Support general accounting processes and reporting as needed Qualifications Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred 2 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, or Hospitality Finance experience preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, preferably Sage and ProfitSword. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to handle high-volume workload with accuracy and control Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, interacting professionally with hourly associates, managers, directors, the Managing Director, and corporate partners.
