Red Hen Baking Company is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented professional to join our administrative team approximately 14-16 hours per week (2 days/week) at our bakery in Middlesex. This role is ideal for someone looking for meaningful part-time work that combines customer communication, financial administration, and operational problem-solving. We're looking for someone who enjoys creating order, improving systems, and helping a growing business run more efficiently. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, enjoys learning new software, and can quickly navigate between multiple systems to solve problems and streamline work. Schedule Approximately 14-16 hours per week Typically two days per week (one day must be either Saturday or Monday) Some flexibility in scheduling for the right candidate Occasional coverage needs may arise, but this is primarily a consistent part-time position What You'll Do Accounts Receivable & Customer Accounts Manage customer account records and A/R transactions Produce and distribute customer statements Communicate with customers regarding invoices, credits, adjustments, and account questions Follow up on outstanding balances and support collection efforts Build positive, professional relationships with wholesale customers Financial Administration Prepare bank deposits Assist with cash handling and cash management processes Enter invoices and maintain accurate financial records Support bill payment and other accounting functions based on experience and training Assist with payroll-related data entry and reporting as skills develop Administrative & Operational Support Respond to customer emails and phone calls Enter and adjust customer orders as needed as coverage for Wholesale Manager Order office supplies and assist with general office administration Support occasional special projects Process Improvement Learn and utilize multiple software systems Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and streamline processes Help implement new tools and workflows as Red Hen continues to grow What You Bring Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel High level of technical aptitude and comfort learning new software Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time-management skills Comfortable managing recurring deadlines and priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities Curiosity and a mindset of continuous improvement Pay & Growth Pay is $23
