Overview We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of financial concepts, accounting software, and industry-specific standards to support our operational efficiency and financial integrity. Duties Generate, review, and distribute invoices accurately using various accounting software platforms such as Epicor, Shopify and Excel. Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments; follow up professionally through phone calls or written correspondence. Reconcile accounts receivable ledger, perform account analysis, and ensure proper application of payments. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries. Support accounting team with additional accounting duties. Maintain detailed records of collections activities and update aging reports regularly. Assist with month-end closing procedures, including journal entries related to revenue cycle management. Support compliance with financial regulations such as GAAP by adhering to internal controls. Skills Proven experience in accounts receivable functions within accounting or financial services environments. Proficiency in accounting software including Epicor, SAP, Microsoft, Shopify, Salesforce , or similar platforms. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping. Knowledge of industry-specific standards. Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing), analysis skills, and attention to detail. Effective negotiation skills coupled with professional phone etiquette for collections calls. Knowledge of revenue cycle management is highly desirable.
