We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Insurance Billing Specialist & Accounts Receivable Professional to join our team.

Position Overview:

As our Insurance Billing Specialist & Accounts Receivable professional, you will be responsible for managing the full cycle of insurance claims, billing, and patient account reconciliation. You will work closely with our clinical and front office teams to ensure accurate coding, timely submission of claims, and effective follow-up on unpaid or denied claims. Because we are a small team, we value flexibility and collaboration. This role may occasionally involve assisting with front office duties or supporting other team members as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately submit medical and vision insurance claims (electronic and paper) Perform insurance verification and authorization prior to patient visits Post insurance and patient payments and reconcile accounts Follow up on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims Correct and resubmit claims as necessary Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing issues Maintain detailed and organized billing records Assist patients with billing questions in a professional and compassionate manner Collaborate with the front desk and clinical staff to ensure accurate charge capture Support other administrative or clerical tasks as needed

Preferred Skills:

2+ years of experience in medical billing and accounts receivable Strong understanding of insurance guidelines, EOBs, and coding (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) Familiarity with medical billing software Experience with vision plans (VSP, EyeMed) and medical insurers (Medicare, BCBS, etc.) Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare compliance standards Proficiency in
