Job Description
Job Summary Hochstetler Metals is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this key role, you'll manage day-to-day financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare reports that support our company's financial health. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a growing organization committed to accuracy, efficiency, and integrity in financial management. Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and reconciliations. Conduct bank and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure consistency across accounts. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure double-entry bookkeeping accuracy through proper recording of debits and credits. Support tax preparation and audits by keeping organized transaction records. Analyze account discrepancies and improve bookkeeping workflows using your accounting knowledge Qualifications Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred. Skilled in balance sheet and bank reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account analysis. Knowledge of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping. Experience managing accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes. Familiarity with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret financial reports and communicate findings clearly. Able to work independently while maintaining confidentiality. Proficiency in spreadsheets and office software.
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:
