Job Description

Experienced Full-Charge Bookkeeper We are seeking a highly organized and responsible Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our company. In this position you will handle all A/P processing, assist with human resources, payroll, financial statements and be the back-up for A/R processing. Must be able to handle deadlines with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver with a strong work ethic, and has demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Critical thinking and problem solving are required, you will not be just a simple processor of information. Candidates must possess the following criteria:
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with emphasis on all aspects of bookkeeping, familiarity with financial statements, payroll, and human resources
  • Excellent computer skills including a high proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and understanding of the accounting process and impact on financial statements
  • Knowledge of job costing principles and generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience with payroll processing and human resources documentation.
  • Knowledge of asset management and depreciation
  • Knowledge of Form 1099 rules and requirements
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to be detailed while handling multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently with a superb level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively and professionally with management, fellow employees, clients and vendors Essential Duties and Responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
  • All aspects of Accounts Payable and back-up for Accounts Receivable, including ensuring timeliness and accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable and invoice processing, as well as matching purchase orders with invoices
  • Monitor employee vacation/PTO and assist with employee inquiries.
  • Administration of all benefit plans
  • Analyze and renew all insurance policies for the company
  • Ensure employment paperwork and insurance forms are received and processed timely and correctly
  • Credit card, and expense report reconciliation
  • Check the accuracy of all business transactions
  • Recognize asset purchases, assign as such to the general ledger and maintain book depreciation and asset files
  • Maintain and file all accounting records including maintaining electronic files and necessary file backups
  • High level of confidentiality in all areas of the position
