Job Description

PLEASE READ FULL JOB DESCRIPTION BEFORE APPLYING . THIS POSTIONS REQUIRES THE APPROPRIATE LICENCES/DESIGNATIONS.
Responsibilities :
  • Senior agency staff member in charge of brokerage sales activities, department, and personnel involved in Sales and Marketing to independent Brokers and Key Accounts.
  • Provides leadership to the day-to-day operations of the Brokerage sales department, while maintaining focus on the agency strategic goals.
  • Member of the Agency's Senior Executive Staff.
  • Reports to the Chief Executive Officer/President/General Agent.
  • Analyze sales statistics to determine business growth potential.
  • Establishes performance goals for all Brokerage department employees and monitors performance on a continual basis.
  • Oversees all hiring, training and firing of brokerage personnel involved in Sales and Marketing.
  • Develops, or participates with the Senior Staff, in the development of the Strategic Marketing Plan of Brokerage for the agency.
  • Directs Brokerage Sales department(s) to achieve objectives established in the Agency Strategic Plan.
  • Coordinates Brokerage sales operations with all other departments of the agency.
  • Develops and/or maintains and improves business relations with Brokerage customers of the agency.
  • Seeks out and targets new customers and new sales opportunities, initiates action plan to approach and secure new business for the agency.
  • Responsible for all Brokerage sales & service; monitors this activity on a proactive basis with his/her personnel; coordinates with all other agency management in achieving agency brokerage goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in a business related field
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in third party sales or wholesale position in the insurance industry
  • Must have good understanding of Brokerage business
  • Knowledge of all types of Life insurance, Disability Insurance, Annuity and Long Term Care products
  • Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve agency brokerage sales objectives with a team approach.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 6/7, and Series 63
  • Industry designations highly desirable:
CLU, ChFC, CLTC Pay:
$62,903.88 - $75,755.21 per year
