Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Clinical Trial Budget Analyst I supports the development, review, and administration of clinical trial budgets under close supervision. This role assists with preparing financial documents, ensuring alignment with institutional guidelines, and conducting initial reviews of coverage analyses. The Analyst I collaborates with research staff and sponsors to address routine budget questions and supports documentation accuracy within the clinical trial management systems. This position serves as a foundational role to build expertise in clinical research finance and compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Budget Preparation & Review:
Assist with drafting and reviewing clinical trial budgets. Ensure alignment with institutional guidelines and compliance standards.
Coverage Analysis & Reconciliation:
Support Payer Coverage Analysis (PCAs). Conduct routine budget reconciliations under supervision.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work with coordinators, investigators, and sponsors on routine budget questions. Escalate issues as needed for resolution.
Systems & Documentation:
Maintain accurate data in CTMS and EMR Ensure timely and complete document uploads Performs other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
Bachelors or vocational training in Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field Equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required Other / Certificate Coursework or training in clinical research, accounting, or healthcare finance Preferred
EXPERIENCE
Related experience in research administration, finance, or healthcare operations Required 2 years with clinical trial budgeting, coverage analysis, or financial documentation in a healthcare/research setting Preferred
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Clinical Research Professional - Certification (e.g., ACRP, SOCRA) or related financial compliance training Preferred We're all in for your career.
