Job Description

Employee will serve as a Budget Technician assigned to the Office of Research and Development located at the Veterans Healthcare Administration in Minneapolis, MN.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the specialized experience described below.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Requires one full year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-6) in the Federal service.
Specialized experience includes:
Using computerized automated accounting systems to enter budgetary and financial data, to compile, consolidate, organize, summarize, and prepare various budget/financial reports; Purchasing supplies and equipment using an organizational credit card; Tracking and monitoring costs, expenditures, obligations, and purchases and reconciling these monetary/financial accounts; and Conducting cost benefit analysis to develop budget plans and forecasts for various funding control point accounts.
