About the role We are seeking a Fractional CFO to provide executive-level financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic finance support during a period of organizational growth and operational strengthening. This role will partner closely with executive leadership to improve financial visibility, reporting consistency, forecasting, accountability, and overall finance operations. The ideal candidate will bring both strategic finance expertise and operational leadership experience, with the ability to identify organizational gaps, improve structure and processes, and help build a more scalable finance function. This is a fractional executive leadership engagement intended for a highly experienced finance professional who can operate as both a strategic advisor and operational partner while supporting long-term organizational scalability and financial discipline. This engagement is expected to average approximately 20-25 hours per week during the initial stabilization phase.. What You'll Do Executive Financial Leadership Partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, planning, and operational priorities Improve financial visibility, reporting consistency, and forecasting processes Support executive decision-making through financial analysis and operational insight Identify operational risks, inefficiencies, and areas requiring stronger accountability Accounting & Finance Oversight Provide oversight across accounting and finance operations including reporting, payroll, commissions, revenue tracking, cash flow visibility, and monthly close processes Help strengthen operational discipline, workflow consistency, and financial process reliability Identify ownership gaps and support improved accountability structures Forecasting, Reporting & Planning Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes Develop KPI visibility and reporting structures to support leadership decision-making Improve financial and operational reporting visibility across the organization Organizational Structure & Process Improvement Evaluate workflows, operational structure, and finance processes for scalability and efficiency Recommend improvements to systems, reporting workflows, and operational finance practices Support finance transformation and organizational improvement initiatives Qualifications Senior finance leadership experience (CFO, Fractional CFO, Controller, Finance Director, or similar role) Strong background in financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and operational finance Experience supporting growing or evolving organizations Ability to identify operational gaps, accountability issues, and process inefficiencies Strong leadership, communication, and executive partnership skills Experience improving organizational structure, visibility, and operational consistency preferred Experience with QuickBooks and finance systems preferred Prior fractional or consulting experience preferred Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving environment
