We are passionately committed to innovation, our dynamic culture and entrepreneurial spirit. Privately held, with current revenues of approximately $30 million, we also provide consulting services to other restaurant operators while continuing to expand our own brand. We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to join our Team. The position requires an individual with heightened analytical skills in financial and operational strategies, ability to manage to a consensus and help maximize value of the brand. This Executive will oversee the Accounting Functions, as well as IT and Human Resources. Strong communication and the emotional maturity to mentor others is imperative.
PRINCIPAL ACOUNTABILITIES
Accountable for all relevant financial and accounting information. Oversight and analysis of policies and procedures including; cash management, budgeting, payroll and the development and monitoring of control systems that further enforce all values, policies and procedures are in alignment with company. Ensure all record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies. Manage and assist in the strategic formulation of financial initiatives supporting the company's future direction giving recommendation of financial risk and benefit. Forecast, budget and report financial status, analyzing results and variances while providing thoughtful recommendations of improvement and growth. Manage budgeting process and capital requests. Manage third parties where accounting or financial functions have been outsourced, maintaining relationships in the investment community, and ensuring we as a company have best terms related to payroll, credit card and terms of credit. Develop and maintain in-depth relationships and on-going communication with management Team, assist in the training and mentoring plan of operational best practices. Oversee Payroll and Human Resources - collaborate on efficiencies of both areas. High level of communication at all levels of the organization. Oversee employee benefit plans, ensuring we are maximizing cost effective benefits package.
CANDIDATE DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
The candidate of Chief Financial Officer should have a degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA and/or CPA highly desirable, and five plus years of equivalent experience in financial leadership roles, partnering with executive teams, preferably in the restaurant industry. Candidate must have an elevated level of communication, oral and written skills and an ability to communicate with several levels of management consecutively. Strong working knowledge of IT and HR practices, specifically Arizona and California, preferred. This candidate is results driven with a sense of urgency in real-time decision processes, comfortable in dealing with complexity and exemplifies the highest level of integrity and transparency.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL
Position will be based in our Phoenix administrative headquarters, candidate must be available to travel to restaurant locations in both Southern California and Phoenix.
