Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location:
Fremont, CA or Indianapolis, IN Work Model:
Onsite initially; transitioning to hybrid (approximately 3 days onsite) Overview We are seeking a hands-on, strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic organization with our growing company. This leader will be a key partner to the CEO and executive team, driving financial strategy while remaining deeply engaged in day-to-day operations. This role requires a strong operational mindset, particularly within warehouse and multi-site environments, and the ability to build meaningful internal and external partnerships. Key Responsibilities Serve as a strategic advisor and financial partner to the CEO and executive leadership team Lead and develop finance functions across multiple sites (primarily Fremont, with oversight of Indianapolis) Provide leadership across FP&A, accounting, AP/AR, payroll, and controllership functions Manage and mentor a team of approximately 8-10 direct/indirect reports Oversee international and multi-site accounting operations Drive financial discipline, planning, forecasting, and performance analysis Act as a key representative externally-building relationships with banking partners, real estate stakeholders, and other strategic partners Support negotiations for major contracts, facilities, and financial agreements Operate in a fast-paced, 24/7 business environment while maintaining executive-level effectiveness Required Qualifications CPA and/or MBA required Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a CFO or similar executive finance leadership role Strong operations background, with the ability to understand and engage in warehouse and business operations Proven success in multi-site and international accounting environments Deep experience with NetSuite (required) Experience working within medium-sized private or public S-Corp organizations (required) Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence and push back constructively. Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills
Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:
$320,000 - $390,000 base
Bonus:
Performance-based (company performance) Additional Considerations No relocation offered -candidates must already understand and be comfortable with Bay Area cost-of-living considerations Role reports directly to owner.
