As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, risk analysis, regulatory reporting, and strategic planning. This role demands a proactive leader with exceptional financial acumen, proven management skills, and the ability to navigate complex financial landscapes. The ideal candidate will champion fiscal responsibility while fostering innovation in budget management, business development, and financial analysis to support our organization's mission and long-term objectives. Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for all aspects of financial and management reports, the operation and control of an effective financial reporting system, and cash management. Maintain and analyze financial records. Prepare, forecast, and manage the Coalition's budget and monitor the budget for consistency with the Coalition plan. Initiates changes to the budget when necessary. Responsible for the preparation of forms, reports, and other documents necessary for compliance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements related to grants received. Assist in the planning for additional funding sources. Evaluates and recommends business partnering opportunities. Prepare cost analyses/feasibility studies and recommend action items. Reconciles bank accounts. Coordinate audit/monitoring reviews and prepare audit/monitoring responses when necessary. Assist with the negotiation and development of service provider and vendor contracts. Prepare, implement, and oversee all fiscal policies and procedures for effective operations, including purchasing as required by the state and/or the Coalition. Management of all components of provider payments and provider contracts. Grant Manager for all grant-funded agreements. Prepare and present the monthly financial reports at Coalition Board meetings. Responsible for the management of benefits and verification of payroll, computation of required and voluntary deductions, and review of federal and state payroll tax reports. Adheres to discretion and independent decision-making. Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer and as needed for the efficient operation of the Coalition's finances. Requirements & Preferences Knowledge of and ability to apply the principles and procedures of government/nonprofit accounting, reporting, and auditing procedures and practices. Knowledge of accounting software. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and MIP Accounting Software, and Tableau Software preferred. Knowledge of procedures, regulations, and policies of the Federal government and the State of Florida as related to the receipt and expenditure of funds. Effective leadership and communication skills. Effective team and relationship-building skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policy, and procedure manuals. Effective and timely analysis and decision-making skills. A BA/BS accounting or finance degree is required. Master's degree or CPA preferred. Minimum 4 years of accounting experience required, with previous management experience preferred. Experience with government contracts, invoicing, and procurement is preferred. An administration background or experience with governmental or non-profit organizations is preferred. Must pass the required drug and criminal background screenings.
