Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join a marketplace insurance organization in Miami, Florida. This executive will guide the company's financial strategy while providing steady leadership during a potential sale process and positioning the business for its next stage of growth. The role combines high-level strategic oversight with day-to-day operational leadership across reporting, compliance, controls, and finance team development.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct the financial workstream for a potential company sale, including diligence planning, investor and buyer support, and coordination with external advisory partners.
  • Create and refine financial models and supporting analysis that clearly explain business performance, growth drivers, and value creation opportunities.
  • Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, and risk management practices to ensure accurate reporting and audit readiness.
  • Oversee compliance across applicable tax and regulatory requirements, including obligations spanning multiple states.
  • Improve the speed, consistency, and quality of monthly close activities, management reporting, and performance tracking.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership to support strategic planning, decision-making, and long-range financial infrastructure development.
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a lean finance function capable of supporting both current operations and future expansion.
  • Prepare the organization for a smooth transition under new ownership, including integration readiness and financial documentation standards.
