Job Description
Cabanas Law Firm is a fast-growing, client-focused legal organization dedicated to excellence in family law and delivering exceptional client experiences. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a strategic, results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our financial vision, operational profitability, and long-term growth strategy. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial operations, forecasting, strategic planning, profitability analysis, and organizational financial health. This role requires a hands-on leader who can optimize revenue, manage budgets, improve operational efficiency, and guide high-level business decisions. The ideal candidate has strong financial leadership experience, preferably in legal services, professional services, or high-growth organizations.
Compensation:
$150,000 - $180,00DOE Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership Develop and execute the firm's financial strategy aligned with company's growth goals Provide executive leadership with financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic recommendations Lead long-term financial planning, cash flow management, and profitability initiatives Identify opportunities for scaling operations while maximizing ROI Financial Management & Oversight Oversee accounting, payroll, financial reporting, and compliance Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments Monitor KPIs, including case acquisition cost, profitability per case, lead source ROI, collections, and overhead Ensure financial controls, internal policies, and risk management procedures are in place Operational Efficiency Partner with department leaders to optimize staffing models, resource allocation, and operational performance Analyze intake, collections, and case lifecycle metrics for financial improvement opportunities Improve reporting systems for real-time financial decision-making Oversee vendor contracts, banking relationships, and insurance strategies Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with all legal, tax, and regulatory requirements Oversee audits, tax strategy, and financial reporting accuracy Protect firm assets through strategic planning and financial safeguardsQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (MBA or CPA strongly preferred) 7+ years of senior financial leadership experience (CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or similar) Experience in a law firm, professional services, or multi-location business operations preferred Strong understanding of financial forecasting, budgeting, P&L management, and operational analytics Proven ability to scale systems, improve profitability, and support executive growth initiatives Expertise in KPI dashboards, ROI analysis, and strategic planning Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills Preferred Skills Legal industry financial management experience Familiarity with CRM and operational systems such as HubSpot, Gusto, or case management platforms Mergers, acquisitions, or expansion planning experience Advanced Excel, financial modeling, and executive reporting expertise About Company Cabanas Law Firm is one of South Florida's fastest-growing family law firms, recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in America .
