Job Description:

The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) seeks a Senior Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Chief Financial Officer Position Summary:

The CFO position is expected to provide critical financial strategy, planning, and reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and to the Commission to support decision-making and strategic priorities. The CFO provides organization-wide leadership and decision-making, with a broad array of engagement across all units and departments to ensure consistent operational coordination, effective organizational management, and practices that promote a positive culture and the attainment of mission-critical goals as a high-level executive in the organization. The position is a member of the President's ELT and is primarily responsible for the supervision of the Finance Unit. The CFO is responsible for managing the Commission's financial resources, developing financial strategy and plans, collaborating with ELT to prepare the operating, strategic initiative and capital budgets, preparing revenue and expense analyses, and other financial reports; overseeing accounting activities and related financial reports, such as the annual audit and preparation of the Form 990; and manage the treasury, including operating cash and investments. In addition, the CDO is responsible for ensuring that all appropriate and required financial and administrative information is monitored and reviewed in a timely and efficient manner.

Employment Details:

The CFO is a full-time, exempt, remote teleworking position, with some required travel. The base salary range for this role is $175,000 to $200,000, based on the incumbent's background, experience, and qualifications. In addition, the incumbent will be eligible to participate in MSCHE's benefit offerings, including, but not limited to, health coverage, organization-sponsored life and disability insurance coverage, participation in a 403(b) program with employer contribution eligibility, and a generous paid time off program.
