Chief Financial Officer

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee the financial health and long-term growth of our established cargo trailer dealership. This role will lead financial strategy, guide high-level decision-making, and directly oversee the Controller and accounting team. The ideal candidate has strong dealership or inventory-based business experience and understands how to drive profitability in a high-volume, sales-driven environment. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can operate both strategically and operationally. Key Responsibilities Lead overall financial strategy, planning, and performance of the organization Oversee and manage the Controller and accounting team Provide strategic guidance to ownership on growth, pricing, expansion, and profitability Monitor and improve cash flow, working capital, and financing structures Analyze sales performance, margins, and inventory turns to drive profitability Develop and oversee budgets, forecasts, and financial models Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with GAAP Evaluate and improve operational efficiency across departments Manage relationships with banks, lenders, and financial partners Support expansion efforts, acquisitions, or new location development Establish KPIs and performance metrics across the business Identify risks and implement strategies to protect and grow the business Qualifications Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or senior financial leader Strong background in dealership, automotive, RV, trailer, or inventory-based businesses highly preferred Deep understanding of financial strategy, cash flow management, and business operations Experience leading accounting teams and working closely with Controllers Strong analytical and decision-making skills Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and growth planning Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS) and accounting software preferred Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on when needed What We Offer Competitive executive compensation package (salary + performance incentives) Established and growing business with strong market presence Direct partnership with ownership and leadership team Opportunity to drive strategy and make a measurable impact on growth How to Apply Please submit your resume along with a brief overview of your experience in dealership or similar high-volume, inventory-driven businesses.
