Chief Financial Officer –
Confidential National Retail & Distribution Company Compensation:
$200K to $250

The CFO will serve as the top financial leader and a trusted advisor to ownership, balancing hands-on operational leadership with long-term strategy. This role offers true influence over financial direction, capital planning, and business performance. Key Duties & Responsibilities Lead the full finance function including accounting, FP&A, treasury, reporting, and compliance
  • Partner with ownership and senior leadership to shape strategy, capital allocation, and long-term planning
  • Own annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, and financing strategy
  • Deliver timely, actionable financial reporting and performance insights
  • Establish strong internal controls, policies, and risk management practices
  • Analyze margins, inventory investment, and operational performance to drive profitability
  • Evaluate financial impact of expansions, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives
  • Improve systems, reporting tools, and processes to support scalable growth
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the finance and administrative team
  • Serve as the primary liaison with lenders, auditors, and external advisors Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience with executive leadership responsibility
  • Proven ownership of a company's full finance function
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, treasury, budgeting, and internal controls
  • Experience managing growth and evolving capital needs in a dynamic business environment
  • Track record partnering closely with ownership and cross-functional leaders
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate financial data into business decisions
  • Hands-on, practical leadership style with strong business acumen Preferred Background CPA, CMA, or MBA
  • Experience in retail, distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-driven businesses
  • Background in privately held or family-owned organizations
