Health, 401(k) matching, PTO Job Description We are a rapidly growing company with $80M in Revenue looking for a dynamic Controller / CFO to lead our financial operations. In this role, you will establish/maintain rock-solid accounting fundamentals and internal controls, while simultaneously partnering with ownership and leadership to steer our long-term financial strategy, forecasting, and profitability. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Act as a close strategic advisor to the CEO/Ownership, providing financial modeling, scenario planning, and data-driven insights to support expansion. Lead the financial planning and analysis function, developing robust annual budgets and rolling forward-looking forecasts. Evaluate capital structure, manage banking and lender relationships, and oversee cash flow optimization strategies. Analyze business performance, margin profitability, and ROI on major company investments or potential new business lines. Identify, assess, and mitigate corporate risk (operational, financial, and compliance).
Financial Operations & Compliance:
Manage/Oversee/Assist Account Staff in day-to-day accounting functions, including Cash Management, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. Oversee and streamline the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate GAAP-compliant financial statements. Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets. Coordinate tax planning and compliance, working seamlessly with external CPA firms for annual filings and audits. Manage corporate treasury, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking. Evaluate, implement, or upgrade financial software/ERP systems as the company scales. Oversee revolving lines of credit and floor plan financing to minimize interest charges Establish and maintain solid record keeping practices for back end financial incentives
Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field is required. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
Certification:
CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
Experience:
8+ years of progressive financial experience, with a proven track record of handling day-to-day corporate accounting and contributing to executive-level strategic planning.
Tech Stack:
Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with mid-market ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, etc).
