POSITION OVERVIEW
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, and payroll. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will play a critical role in shaping the company's financial strategy and ensuring robust financial health .

Promote professional development opportunities for team members . Financial Strategy Development Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives . Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team based on financial analysis and projections. Accounting Oversight Oversee all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. Financial Planning and Analysis Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial modeling . Conduct variance analysis and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to support decision-making . Reporting and Compliance Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting standards .
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES
Payroll Management Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. Implement payroll best practices and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Cash Flow Management Monitor cash flow and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives. Develop strategies for effective cash management and investment . Risk Management Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and financial health. Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place to safeguard company resources . Quality Assurance Ensure that all accounting and financial activities meet or exceed internal and external customer expectations and industry standards. Implement quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives Reporting Provide regular updates to the CEO and other senior leaders on financial performance and key metrics .
MINIMUM Q UALIFICATIONS /EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in finance , Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 10+ years of financial management experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role. Hands-on experience with percentage-of-completion (POC) accounting and revenue recognition for long-term, project-based work is strongly preferred; experience in custom manufacturing, automation, engineering, or construction environments is highly valued. Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and financial reporting in a mid-sized company, preferably within the automation or technology sector. Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset. Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with payroll systems is a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
