Job Description

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location:
U.S.-based (remote/hybrid) Overview A high-growth, private equity-backed professional services organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. This role will lead the continued integration and scaling of the finance function while building the infrastructure needed to support aggressive growth, operational excellence, and future acquisitions. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO, executive leadership team, and investors to drive financial strategy, improve reporting and controls, support M&A activity, and build a scalable global finance organization. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Operations Build and enhance scalable financial infrastructure, controls, and reporting processes Improve monthly close, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management Oversee compliance, audit, lender reporting, and board-level financial reporting Develop KPI dashboards and financial insights to support strategic decision-making M&A & Integration Lead post-merger financial integration activities including systems, processes, and reporting consolidation Support future acquisitions through financial diligence, valuation support, and integration planning Create repeatable processes for acquisition onboarding and financial integration Systems & Process Improvement Evaluate and optimize ERP and financial systems to improve scalability and reporting quality Drive automation initiatives across accounting, billing, and reporting functions Partner cross-functionally to improve operational efficiency and financial visibility Strategic Partnership Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on growth strategy, pricing, profitability, and capital allocation Support long-term value creation initiatives and investor readiness Partner across departments to align financial priorities with business objectives Team Leadership Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing finance organization Foster collaboration across accounting, FP&A, operations, and executive leadership Help create a scalable finance function capable of supporting rapid growth Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA and/or MBA preferred 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience Prior experience within private equity-backed organizations strongly preferred Strong background in accounting, FP&A, cash flow forecasting, and financial operations Experience supporting M&A transactions and post-merger integrations ERP implementation and systems optimization experience preferred Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-growth environment Excellent communication and executive presentation skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive executive compensation package Performance-based bonus opportunity Equity participation Comprehensive benefits package High-growth environment with strong long-term leadership opportunity Why This Opportunity? The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
