With more than 500 employees and an extensive fleet of machinery, the organization has the manpower, expertise, and resources to successfully deliver complex, multimillion-dollar site development and construction projects across the region. Position Summary The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. This role will provide strategic financial direction, drive operational efficiency, and support continued growth and profitability in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Lead all financial operations, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives that support business growth Provide financial insights and analysis on project performance, cost control, and profitability across multiple large-scale construction projects Oversee job costing, WIP reporting, and revenue recognition in accordance with construction industry standards Manage banking relationships, capital structure, and financing strategies Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, audits, and tax filings Develop and implement financial controls, policies, and processes to improve efficiency and mitigate risk Lead, mentor, and develop the finance and accounting team Evaluate opportunities for operational improvements, cost savings, and scalability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred) 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably within construction, site development, or a related industry Strong knowledge of construction accounting, including job costing, percentage of completion, and WIP reporting Proven experience supporting large-scale, project-based operations Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing teams Strategic mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making
